Centre Extends Employees’ Annual Appraisal Date

New Delhi : The central government has extended the date to start and complete the process of annual performance appraisal reports of its employees. The order stated that as per the revised schedule, the distribution of the blank APAR form should be completed by May 30. Earlier, its delivery date was 31 March. Similarly, the date of submission of self-appraisal to the reporting officer was 15 April, which has now been extended to 30 June. According to the order, this relief will be given only once.

According to the order of the Ministry of Personnel, the date has been pushed forward due to the coronavirus epidemic. Revised date for completion of APAR for Group A, B and C officers of Central Civil Services has been issued. It is mandatory for all the Central Government officials to submit APAR every year. The ministry has said that the reporting officer’s APAR should be disclosed by 10 September and 10 October. The entire process should be completed by December 31, 2020. The APAR will then be taken on record.
