Burglary at Jeweller’s shop in Nigdi

Unidentified thieves broke into a jeweler’s shop in Nigdi in the wee hours of Saturday and decamped with cash, ornaments totally worth Rs 2.65 lakhs.

Ashish Ashok Siroya of Mukundnagar has lodged an FIR in this regard with Nigdi police station. Police said that Siroya’s Chandan Jewelers shop is located at Tilak Chowk in Nigdi. On Saturday morning he learnt about the theft.

The thieves have stolen 54 gm gold ornaments, 3 kg 800 silver ornaments and some cash kept in the drawer.

According to police, the CCTV cameras of the shop were not functioning for the last four days. Further investigation is going on.
