BSP clears the way for Congress to form the government in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE –  The results of all 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh have come. After 24 hours, the results of all the seats were announced, in which the Congress emerged as the largest party with 114 seats. Although it did not reach the required figure for the formation of the government, it was here that the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced to support the Congress. This cleared the way to form the Congress-led government.

While announcing support for Congress, BSP supremo Mayawati said that she does not agree with many of the Congress policies, but in order to keep the BJP away from power, she will support Congress in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Following the announcement of BSP supremo, Congress has 117 seats, which is one more than the magical figure.

Following the announcement of Mayawati, the outgoing CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh said that the BJP will not present a claim to form the government. Chauhan said that due to the less number of seats, the BJP will not claim to form the government and he will resign.

Earlier, the Congress was questioning the non-resignation of the CM, and there was speculation that the BJP could also stake a claim for formation of the government. Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath had written a letter to the governor late on Tuesday night claiming to form the government.
