Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey dismiss rumour of his retirement 

Patna: Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey is often in the news. In the Sushant case too, he was quite discussed. This time again the rumor of DGP Gupteshwar Pandey’s sudden resignation sparked a furore at the administrative and political level in Bihar.

However, the sources of news are yet unknown. The rumour has been spreading since sunday evening. DGP on the same said, ‘It is all a lie, just a rumour, whoever has spread this news is totally wrong’. He also asked what kind of journalism is this.

DGP through tweet cleared the rumor and wrote, ‘ek bihar ke portal news ne mere navkari se istifa dene ke barein mein ek jhooti khabhar chalakar sansani fela di hai. Ise kise sthar ki patrakarita kahege app’?

DGP was trolled by netizens for the comment on Rhea Chakraborty in which he asked her to stay in aukat (limits). Which was clarified later by stating aukat i meant stature.Rhea Chakraborty don’t have enough stature to comment on Nitish Kumar CM of bihar.

It is noteworthy that Gupteshwar Pandey, a 1987 batch IPS of Bihar cadre, took VRS to contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2009. He wanted to contest from Buxar seat on a BJP ticket. However he did not get a ticket and hence  applied for the withdrawal of VRS.  Nitish government approved and put him in service again after 9 months and he made him the DGP of Bihar before the Lok Sabha elections.
