Kangana Ranaut stepped in direction from Manikarnika. The film was a biopic of Rani Laxmibai. The film was directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi but the film was taking a long time to be made and Radha Krishna had committed to the second film. Due to which Kangana later directed the film. The film also became a part of many controversies.

Talking about the workfront, Kangana will soon be seen in Thalaivi and Dhakad. Kangana’s look has been released from both films.
