Anti-Narcotics Cell arrests youth hailing from Mumbai in Baner for trying to sell drugs; Mephedrone worth ₹4 lakh seized
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) arrested a youth in Baner who had come from Mumbai to sell drugs in the city. Goods including 20 gm mephedrone worth ₹4 lakh, three mobiles and car totally worth ₹7.84 lakh were seized from him. (Pune Crime News)
The accused has been identified as Asifali Alimuddin Shaikh (26), a resident of Kurla, Mumbai. The ANC team was patrolling in Baner area. Policemen Sahil Shaikh and Azim Shaikh came to know that Shaikh was going to come to the are to sell drugs. A trap was laid and Shaikh was arrested. Mephedrone, three mobiles and a car totally worth ₹7.84 lakh were seized from him.
Additional CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende and ACP Narayan Shirgaonkar guided a team of police officials which included senior PI Sunil Thopte, PSI Digambar Chavan, Santosh Deshpande, Sahil Shaikh, Azim Shaikh, Sandip Jadhav, Yogesh Mandhre, Dinesh Bastewad and Disha Khevalkar.
