Chandrakant Patil criticises Congress, asks “What will Congress candidate do in legislative assembly?”
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election | Guardian Minister of Pune Chandrakant Patil while speaking at a rally organised for Shiv Sena-BJP Alliance candidate for Kasba Peth bypoll Hemant Rasane at Natubag, said, “What will the candidate of a directionless party like Congress do by getting elected to the legislative assembly? If the network of Pune Metro is to be expanded and the issues of old wadas and gunthewari are to be resolved, Hemant Rasane should be sent to the assembly.” (Pune Kasba Peth Bypoll Election)
Hemant Rasane, PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan, former MP Sanjay Kakde, former minister Dilip Kamble, Sudhakar Bhalerao, Shailesh Tilak, Kunal Tilak, Parshuram Wadekar of RPI and Vishnu Kasbe of Lahuji Shakti Sena were present.
“A candidate of a national party is needed for getting elected to the legislative assembly. The assembly makes laws and decides the direction of the government. Hence, a candidate of the ruling party is required. Will Dhangekar make a law by going to the assembly? He will not be able to do anything.” Patil said.
“No leader of the party of Ravindra Dhangekar could get the post of the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha. A member of the party got the post of the president of the assembly in the government which was formed by backstabbing others. However, your party could not hold on to the post for long. For two and a half years, the post was vacant. There were differences between you and your allies. Uddhav Thackeray was happy being a CM but the NCP enjoyed real power. Even when you were allocated portfolios in the ministry, they had no meaning,” Patil said.
“The prime minister, president, vice-president and chief of the Lok Sabha belong to the BJP. The CMs of 18 states are of BJP. We are ruling in the state and hence, our candidate should be elected from Kasba Peth seat. Who is Ravindra Dhangekar? What will he do by getting elected to the assembly? Will he be able to get development funds sanctioned? Does he know anything about the law? Rasane should be sent to the assembly to solve problems of Pune. Dhangekar may be a good candidate but he will not be able to solve your problems,” Patil said.
“The equal water distribution programme was started after Mukta Tilak became mayor. Hence, the scheme should be named after her and the civic administration should decide on the issue,” Patil added.
