Another cheating, forgery case against Deepak Mankar for  land grabbing

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Former Pune deputy mayor and NCP corporator Deepak Mankar and three others have been booked for cheating and forgery by the Vishrantwadi police station, Pune city police. The accused persons had registered bogus documents at the sub-registrar’s office in 2004.

Aditi Madhav Dikshit (52), a resident of Prabhat Road, has lodged the complaint in this regard against Deepak Mankar, his accomplice Sadhana Vartak, and M/s Vasudha Enterprises and its partner Umesh Subhash Kothawade of Model Colony.

According to police, the accused persons conspired to usurp Aditi’s land in Lohegaon, Viman Nagar, Pune, and had registered a fake development agreement in the office of sub-registrar Haveli 8 in Vishrantwadi. Vartak had signed the agreement as power of attorney holder on behalf of Aditi which is bogus. The accused persons submitted the document in various government offices and got monetary benefits.

Earlier Aditi had registered FIR against her uncle Mukund Parshuram Dikshit, Mankar and Vartak with Kothrud police station on October 27, for allegedly grabbing properties worth crores.

As per the FIR registered with Kothrud police station, the incident took place between 2003 and 2018 at Sneh Paradise society on Paud road and Bank of Maharashtra Paudphata branch. “The accused persons entered into conspiracy and made bogus documents of my land at Shivajinagar, Sadhu Vaswani chowk and Pimpri Waghire and sold them to third persons which caused a loss of crores of rupees to me”, the woman stated in her complaint.

Police have booked the accused persons for offences under sections 420 (cheating), forgery under the Indian Penal Code. Police inspector Khatke is further investigating the case.

Mankar had surrendered to Pune city police on August 1, in an abetment to suicide case. Pune City Police have slapped Deepak Mankar with stringent MCOCA.
