Anil Kapoor denied to be Sonam’s father; Rhea says her father is not normal!

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Anil Kapoor is Sonam’s father. Yes, that’s true but not according to Anil Kapoor!

Karan Johar, well known Bollywood director and producer revealed in an interview that Anil Kapoor had earlier denied playing the role of Sonam’s father in the Bollywood movie ‘Players’. He, in a reply to the role offered by Abbas-Mustan for the movie, asked him, “Do you think I look like Sonam’s father?”

This information was revealed by Karan at a show of journalist Anupama Chopra’s website in which there was also a discussion held between a group of producers who were talking about bold choices made by actors today that the actors don’t want to play fathers now at any cost.

The revelation came up soon after when Karan Johar spoke on this context. He recalled one of the incidents which he had heard of earlier and shared, “When ‘AK’ was offered Players, he told Abbas-Mustan ‘You think I look like Sonam’s father?’” and further added that the father’s role was later played by Vinod Khanna.

After this, Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor who is a producer shared a story about his father on the same context. She said, “What about Dil Dhadakne Do? It took him a year to say yes.” Adding to that she further said, “His thing was, if I’m playing a father, I’m playing the best father in the world.”

Also, she talked about how Anil walks ahead of her whenever they are together in an event function. She said, “He is a different breed. He’s not normal”.

The father-daughter had recently attended Isha Ambani’s wedding (daughter of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani) and were spotted together in Mumbai.

According to sources, Anil Kapoor will be seen I  Karan Johar’s upcoming political drama, Takht for which he is gaining weight.
