Amruta Fadnavis gets trolled for her tweet on Union Budget 2021-22

Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was once again trolled for her comments on Union Budget 2021-22 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday (February 1).

Amruta Fadnavis took to twitter to thank the Finance Minister for presenting the budget “in a manner never seen in 100 years in India”.

Twitteratis were quick to react and wondered if they were missing something as India got independence 74-years-ago. How then could this budget have been ‘ never-seen-in-100-years’. wondered many users. “Are you exactly Indian? This question arises from your statement,” said one user.

Another twitter user took a dig at her saying, “Maybe we were taught the wrong history. You are right… Let’s have a song on the budget”. Another Twitter user also wondered if they could get the budget copies until 1972.

Further, Mrs Fadnavis said that all countries in the world will now observe and learn the art of giving impetus to growth without levying the additional tax. Reacting to that, many reminded her of the Agri Infra cessdue to which the prices of fuel are likely to rise along with other commodities due to customs duties.

Interestingly, nearly four hours after she was trolled for her ‘never seen in a 100 years’ remark, Amruta Fadnavis posted a link to a story.
