Actor Arun Govil, famous as Lord Ram of ‘Ramayan’ TV series, joins BJP

New Delhi: Actor Arun Govil, who became famous in every house of the country by playing the role of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s serial ‘Ramayan’, has joined BJP today. Arun Govil joining the BJP is considered very important before the 5 state assembly elections to be held in 5 states. It is being speculated that Arun Govil can contest assembly elections after taking BJP membership.

After joining BJP, Govil will also campaign for the party in West Bengal. While the BJP is chanting the slogan of Jai Shri Ram in Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee is reciting Chandi. The BJP is hoping for a big benefit from Ram’s campaigning of Ramayana in the Bengal elections.

The central government started the telecast of the Ramayana serial on Doordarshan. People also liked it a lot during the lockdown. Govil had so far avoided joining any political party.

Arun Govil, born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Studied Science from College Shahjahanpur, Meerut University. Only after his studies, Arun Govil participated in some play. Arun Govil’s father, Mr. Chandra Prakash Govil used to work in a government job. Arun was fourth in 6 siblings.
