Accenture can layoff 25000 of its global employees

Mumbai: The world’s largest IT company Accenture is preparing to do the major layoff. According to media reports, ‘the company has decided to cut the number of non-performing staff by at least 5 percent’. It is believed that due to this decision, about 25 thousand people may have to lose their jobs.

A report published in the Australian Financial Review (AFR) states,  IT company Accenture has staff of five lakhs worldwide. Accordingly, this IT business giant can lay off 25,000 staff. In mid-August, Accenture CEO Julie Sweet gave such hints at an internal staff meeting.

According to the report, Sweet said, ‘ every year we appoint new employees in the place of 5 % of our old employees as there is a requirement. However due to pandemic, this requirement is decreased. So we will keep the number of people fired from the company at 5%, but will not replace it with new appointments’.
