ACB Trap News | Drug inspector arrested by ACB for accepting bribe of ₹15,000
BHANDARA : ACB Trap News | The Bhandara ACB has arrested a drug inspector of FDA, Bhandara for accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 after demanding a bribe of ₹20,000. An FIR has been registered against the food inspector at the Bhandara city police station and he has been arrested.
The arrested accused has been identified as Prashant Rajendra Ramteke (46), a food inspector working with FDA, Bhandara. The complainant had submitted an application for starting a medical shop at Kirti Multispeciality Hospital to FDA, Bhandara. Since there were no problems with the application, it was approved. The inspector demanded a bribe of 20, 000 from the complainant and after a compromise, agreed to accept ₹15,000. The ACB laid a trap and the accused accepted the bribe in the presence of the panches.
The action was taken by PI Amit Dahare, PSI Sanjay Kunjarkar, Havaldar Mithun Chandewar, Police Naik Atul Meshram, policeman Chetan Pote, Mayur Shinganjude, Vivek Randive, Rajkumar Lende, Vishnu Warthi, Shilpendra Meshram and driver Rahul Raut under the guidance of Nagpur ACB SP Rahul Maknikar, DySP Dr Arunkumar Lohar.
