ACB arrests man while taking bribe for changing address on ration card

Thane: Sleuths from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Ajaykumar Rajaram Gund on March 10 for allegedly taking Rs 2,500 as bribe from a person for changing address on ration case and adding his child’s name.

The complainant had approached Gund for changing the address and adding his son’s name on the ration card. The officials said Gund demanded Rs 2,500 from the complainant for making the entries. The complainant then approached the ACB office and lodged a complaint against Gund.

After confirming the bribe demand, the ACB laid a trap and caught Gund red handed while accepting the money.
