50 arrested during police raid at restaurant with illegal hookah smoking

Ghaziabad: Over 50 boys and girls were arrested by police at a restro- lounge bar by a joint team of police and administration at Angel Mall in Ghaziabad’s Thana Kaushambi area of Uttar Pradesh.

The restaurant was operated illegally and liquor was served. The hookah was also served in the guise of a restaurant.

After persistent complaints, the police and administration team raided the restaurant. Abhishek Verma, SP City, Ghaziabad, said that a person operates a restaurant called No Rules at Angel Mall in Kaushambi area. The restaurant was being blown up by the lockdown rules and the restaurant was running illegally. In which alcohol was also being offered openly.

Police say the physical distancing norms in the restaurant was also not being followed. The police has taken action against all in the Pandemic Act and other legal sections.
