4-month old infant kidnapped for begging

Children being kidnapped by begging mafias and forcing them to beg on streets after brutally torturing them is not a news case. Followed by several such cases, in a shocking such case, a woman was arrested for kidnapping a 4-month old infant.

The woman got picked up by the police from Pune station by the regional crime branch on Thursday. A complaint was filed by Sangeeta Anand Kag against the accused in Pune station’s platform number 2 whose 4-months old boy child Pramod was abducted by two unknown women.

Police with the help of CCTV footage, started probing on the case and traced out the accused woman. Manisha Mahesh Kale (25) has been arrested in this case. Police got the information through sources that the woman was seen begging with the kidnapped child under the bridge of Jogeshwari. Police laid down a trap and caught hold the woman.
The infant was kidnapped with cruel intentions to use the infant for earning money by begging. The citizens sympathize with the mothers carrying their children and begging on streets thus they tend to give them a penny or so. Women in India taking advantage of which, trap the people emotionally and earn money.

The accused had run away taking the advantage of the complainant being in sleep at the Pune railway station. This investigation was carried out by Superintendent Police Officer Tushar Patil, under the guidance of Sub-divisional police officer Nand Kumar Ghorpade, Inspector Anil Dabde, Assistant Police Inspector Mangesh Jagtap, Police Officer Dhananjay Dugane, Sunil Kadam, Shrikant Bhosale, Anand Kamble, Amardeep Salunke, Anil Dangat, Dinesh Bornare , Janardhan Garje, Vikram Madhe, Swapnil Kunjir, Nilesh Bidkar, Rajesh Kokate, Prabha Bansode, Ashwini Yevale, and Manisha Berad.
