1200 ‘Rakshaks’ of country will be tied Rakhis

Sisters tie a thread of trust on their brother’s wrist which comes with a promise to shield the sisters, but the real shielders of our mother-land miss out the real essence of Raksha bandhan. They, far from their homes, on borders miss their sisters on this day. Where, on this day, a sister prays for her brother’s well-being and ties a sacred thread on the wrist of brother, the soldiers of our country battle against our enemies to protect us and keep us safe.

In a new initiative, taken by Dhruv Foundation an NGO and Dhruv Defence Motivation Center is celebrating “Raksha-Bandhan” in the City of Pune on a mass scale with our Jawan Brothers. 1200 women in traditional attire will be tying rakhis on the wrists of our Jawan brothers to show our gratitude for the protection that they provide us and to acknowledge the sacrifices that they make in the line of their duty.

Dhruv Defence Motivation Center is an organization established by Mr. Subodh Saikhedkar & Mrs. Rupali Saikhedkar who are promoting Defence as a career in Kids and also giving Commando training to kids to face the critical situations in life more skillfully. It is a step towards making the young generation Strong, Fearless, Confident & self-sufficient. Also, self-defense training is given to women by them.

The motive behind this large scale celebration is to create an awareness and recognition of great services of our jawans and to show gratitude towards soldiers who are our real heroes and rakshaks guarding us relentlessly 24×7 by sacrificing their personal and family life.

It would be a privilege and a matter of pride for the sisters to tie the raksha sutra in person and pray for the long life of soldiers. This occasion would be attended by 1200 soldiers and the higher authorities. And, for this all the ladies who are interested are supposed to enroll their names via Google forms before 26th August which is Raksha Bandhan.

The unique celebration of Raksha Bandhan on 26th August falling on Sunday will take place in the restricted Military premises.
