3503 People Infected With Corona in Kerala So Far, ‘Things Are Getting Serious’ – Said CM

Thiruvananthapuram : In Kerala, the number of infected people reached 3,503 in the state with 141 cases of infection of Coronavirus on Tuesday. More than 100 cases of infection have been reported in the state for the fifth consecutive day. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan cautioned people that the situation is getting ‘serious’. A 68-year-old man from Kollam, who returned from Delhi, died due to infection on Tuesday, taking the total number of people who lost their lives in the state to 22 so far.

1620 patients undergoing treatment
Vijayan said in Thiruvananthapuram that 60 people have recovered from the infection on Tuesday, while currently 1,620 patients are under treatment and 1.50 lakh people have been kept under observation. 27 cases of infection each in Pathanamthitta and Palakkad, while 19 were reported in Alappuzha, 14 in Thrissur, 13 in Ernakulam, 11 in Malappuram, 8 in Kottayam, 6 each in Kozhikode and Kannur. 4-4 cases have been reported in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam and 2 cases in Wayanad.

11 hotspots in the state
The Chief Minister said that out of confirmed cases, 79 patients had come from abroad and 52 patients had come from other states, while 9 others including a health worker had come in contact with the infected person. The state currently has 111 hotspots. He said that even without symptoms, there have been cases from many places. The Chief Minister said, “The situation is getting serious.
