200 Non-AC Trains to Run Daily From June 1, Ministry of Railways Said Online Ticket Booking will Start Soon

New Delhi : Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has announced on Tuesday night that 200 non-air-conditioned trains will be started operating daily from June 1 according to the time table. Booking for non-air conditioned second class trains from June 1 will be done online, everyone will be able to take advantage of this service. Indian Railways will soon release the list of these trains and will start the ticket booking facility. Apart from this, the railway is also increasing the train services for migrant workers.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said in his tweet message, “Great relief for the workers, about 200 labour special trains will be able to run today and later these numbers will be increased on a large scale. In addition, according to the time-table, from June 1, 200 non-AC trains will be run daily by the Indian Railways, online booking for this will start soon.”

The Railway Minister has also requested the states to help the workers and get them registered at the nearest railway station. The Railway Minister wrote in a tweet, “State governments are requested to help the workers and register them with the nearest mainline station and give the list to the railways, so that the railway can run labour special trains. The workers are requested to stay where they are right now, very soon Indian Railways will arrange transport for them to the destination.”

Indian Railways issued a press release stating that railways continue to operate labour trains. So far, about 21.5 lakh workers have been transported to their places through a total of 1600 trains. Giving big relief to the workers, Indian Railways is going to operate about 200 labour special trains on this day.

The state governments have been requested to register the workers who are on the way near the main line railway station and give the list to the railways so that they can be transported to their destination by the labour special train.

Apart from these Shramik Special trains, Indian Railways is going to run 200 additional time table trains daily from June 1, which will be non-air conditioned second class trains and booking of these trains will be available online. Information of trains will be made available soon.

Indian Railways appeals to the workers to be patient and stay where they are. Complete arrangements are being made by the Indian Railways to take the workers to their destination and for this proper coordination is being established by the Indian Railways with the State Governments.
