Washim: Thousands of people had gathered at Poharadevi in support of Forest Minister Sanjay Rathore two days ago. The speculation of an increase in COVID19 spread due to this gathering has now proved to be true. A total of 19 people, including Mahant Kabirdas Maharaj of Pohardevi Jagdamba Devi, have contracted corona. All three members of Kabirdas Maharaj’s family have contracted corona. Some people are also known to have symptoms of corona.

Kabirdas Maharaj had tested positive for COVID19 on the 21st February. When Sanjay Rathod came to Pohardevi, he was with him for the whole day. Kabirdas Maharaj is the President of Poharadevi Temple and Sevalal Maharaj Trust. Sanjay Rathore had first met Mahant Kabirdas Maharaj on February 23. Thousands of people from various places were present at Poharadevi on that day. But now it is feared that corona has spread from this crowd.

CM orders action against the Pohardevi crowd
During Sanjay Rathore’s visit to Washim, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had ordered immediate action against the crowd at Poharadevi. The Chief Minister had said that COVID19 health rules are the same for everyone. The Chief Minister had directed the administration to take action against the rule breakers if they were not following the rules during the Covid period.

Forest Minister Sanjay Rathore, who was found in trouble after the Pooja Chavan death case, had arrived at Poharadevi on February 23. At this time, Sanjay Rathore’s supporters had gathered here to welcome him.
