Women detained at Pune Airport for hiding gold in Anus

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE: In an outrageous incident has taken place at Pune airport, where a gang of four women has been detained caught with gold concealed worth of Rs 65 lakh which was hidden in the private part.

It’s not the first time that woman is the new modus operendi for allegedly smuggling but hiding it in the anus which was the most awful situation left.

Women who were arrested in the past while smuggling gold at the Pune airport used various methods still get caught. However, four women on Wednesday were caught smuggling gold using a bizarre modus operandi.

This is the first such case that women are involved in such smuggling as sometimes it is hidden in woman inner, their clothes as well in children diapers.

Smugglers hide gold inside their body in organs such as intestine, stomach, and anus. It never occurred to us that women would be involved in this type of smuggling. Medical examination of the passengers was also conducted at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune and later released them.

They had concealed gold in their anus. This is first such case, where women passengers suspects were involved in concealing gold in the anus and the concealed worth of 2,036.39 gm gold which is estimated worth of Rs 66.50 lakh was recovered from them.

According to the official, The four women had landed from Spice Jet SG 52 flight which arrived from Dubai at Pune airport. When the passengers were going through screening via the high-quality scanner detected four women and found some suspicious object hidden in their bodies.”

It went on, “ Our woman officer stopped them and asked them to undergo the check once again. The women raised an alarm and complaint that our male officials were harassing them. During the manual search, the 24-carat gold recovered from the passengers weighed 2036.39 gms and was valued at Rs 66,50,779. Cases of rectum concealment were reported at the Pune airport earlier also in which male passengers were involved. However, this is the first case, where women passengers were involved in rectum concealment for gold smuggling.”

Based on which the four women name statements were recorded and the case was registered.
