Woman files complaint against Bhojpuri director over assault and fraud

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- A case of assault has emerged in Pune for the pretext of getting a woman to work in a short film. The short film consists of scenes which were supposed to be edited and without her context, it was uploaded on YouTube. After which a case has been registered in Kondhwa police station against Alokshri Gupta who is a resident of Malad, Mumbai.

According to the information given by the police, the complainant woman has been working as an actor and model since August 2015. Alokshri Gupta spoke to her about the short film through Facebook and phone. The woman was later called in Mumbai for shooting a short film. In the year 2016, she went to Mumbai to meet director regarding the short film with a drawback of ‘status of women’.

Shooting for the short film started in Palghar bungalow. During the shooting, some scenes of the woman seem offensive to which the woman refused to do such offensive scenes. Later the director tried to convince her that this is the start of her career and this would be the right move and if you refuse this opportunity, it will be difficult for you to get movies in future. When he saw that the woman is not convinced he told her to do the scene and later he would remove it from the film.

But in reality, he did not delete those scenes. By giving false assurance to the girl, the director had already done one offensive scenes and released this short film on YouTube without showing the woman was the second one.

The woman came to know about the occurrence after her friend saw the video on YouTube which had all the scenes which supposed to be edited which shocked her and she immediately contacted the police about this and registered a complaint under IPC 420 and IPC 354.
