NP NEWS 24 : Islamabad : Pakistan has given a big statement on the merger of PoK. Pakistan rejected all the reports claiming that the government wanted to merge Pakistan-occupied Kashmir into the country. Pakistan said that there is no such proposal.

According to the Source, there have been reports of the merger of PoK for the last six weeks. It started after Farooq Hyder Khan’s statement that he had been told that he would be the last “Prime Minister” of PoK. The rumor got further air after the government renamed a bureaucratic service group.

On these reports, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayesha Farooqi said on Thursday, “No such proposal is being considered.” She also rejected the idea of bringing a new regulation to change the status of Gilgit-Baltistan. She said, “This is media speculation, I would not like to comment on it.”
