When Amit Shah is changing his name – Asaduddin Owaisi

HYDERABAD: NPNEWS24 ONLINE- The new controversy has been created after advise given by historian Irfan Habib to Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah to change his name. At this time, All India Majlis-e- Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the BJP president and asked when Shah is going to change his name. The opposition is already making an attack on the government for changing the name of the UP cities by the BJP government.

“The names of cities are being changed in UP. The name of Allahabad and Faizabad was changed, the name of Agra is being changed. When Amit Shah is changing his name. Shah is a Persian word,” Owaisi said it in his speech.

The famous historian Irfan Habib has said on Sunday, that BJP should first focus on changing the name of its party president Amit Shah. He said, ‘His surname Shah is of Iranian origin, not Gujarati.’

The Aligarh Muslim University’s (AMU’s) 87-year-old professor Emeritus Irfan also said, “Even Gujarat is the name of Iranian origin. Initially, it was called as a Gujratara. The name of this state should also be changed.”

‘Changing the Name of the Cities is the part of the Hindutva Policy of RSS’:

Irfan Habib said, “Changing the names of the cities by the BJP government is part of the RSS’s Hindutva policy. Whatever was not Islamic in Pakistan was eliminated. In the same way, the RSS and the Hindu organizations want to change the name of everything which is non-Hindu or especially of Islamic origin in the country.”
