West Bengal Government’s Big Decision, Announces Lockdown For Two Days A Week

Kolkata : The Mamta Banerjee government of West Bengal has taken a big decision in view of the increasing cases of Corona. The Mamta government has decided to keep the complete lockdown in the state for two days. Home Secretary of the state government, Alpan Bandopadhyay, said that the decision was taken after a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat.

“There are few places in the state where the community transmission of COVID-19 has come to light,” he told reporters. After talking to experts, doctors, law enforcement officials and police, we have decided to implement a complete lockdown for two days across the state to break this chain (of infection). ”

He informed that all offices and transport services will remain closed on both these days. “There will be a complete lockdown on Thursday and Saturday this week,” the home secretary said. Next week, the lockdown will be on Wednesday (July 29).” He said that “a review meeting would be held next Monday to further discuss the matter.”
