Visakhapatnam: 5 dead, 13 injured as tourist bus falls into ditch

Visakhapatnam : Five people were killed in the horrific road accident in Visakhapatnam, including a child. Late on Friday, a tourist bus fell into a ditch at Anantagiri near Araku in Visakhapatnam. Five people died and 13 were injured in the accident.

It is believed that there were 30 people in this bus. DIG Ranga Rao of Visakhapatnam area told that the team has reached the spot and rescue operations have been started. Apart from this, another senior official said that rescue work is being done by the National Disaster Relief Force and the State Fire Service employees.

According to local people, the passengers in the bus are residents of Telangana, who came to see the hilly area Araku. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the accident. Prime Minister Modi tweeted that ‘Distressed to hear about the accident in Visakhapatnam, AP. Condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. Prayers with the injured. May they recover soon.’

Apart from this, Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the opposition party of Andhra Pradesh has also expressed his sorrow over this incident.
