Vinod Tawade gets a student arrested over a question asked on ‘free education’

STRAPVinod Tawade faced flack for his intolerance behaviour irked by the uncomfortable question asked by a student in a college event which he was attending.

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- All our childhood we are often asked and told to clear our doubts with our teachers and seniors before coming to a conclusion, but how about this doubt clearance leading you to jail?  Indian constitute states freedom of expression and speech but when an individual does that, either he is been threatened or arrested.

A strange incident came in light while Maharashtra education minister, Vinod Tawade was attending a college event where he a was asked a simple question ‘whether free education is possible in our country?’ Which for some reason upset Tawade and he ordered to arrest the student.

The student was later detained by the police after the action resulted in anger among the fellow students creating a small protest and tore posters of the minister.

Isn’t it obvious that Vinod Tawade being an education minister, a question on ‘free education’ would be asked to him? But the strangest part is, a free education question made him so outrages that he demanded a student’s arrest.

The students, belonged from the media department and they had all the rights to question where the minister is supposed to answer which may or may not be convincing but ordering an arrest over a simple question is an unethical move.

On the other side, an education minister does not have any right to get someone arrested over a question. Explaining the occurrence, when the student asked whether free of education is a possibility? Tawade replied, “If you cannot afford education, then get a job.” After giving the statement, Tawade realized that it is been recorded and he asked the students to delete that video immediately. But the students denied to do that which made Tawade more uncomfortable and demanded for his arrest.

No matter how uncomfortable a question is, when you are a minister representing your post and your party in a public forum, you cannot ask for a detention or an arrest over a question related to your ministry.
