UP: CMO wrote letter accused Raebareli District collector for using absurd words such as ‘gadha’ (donkey)

Rae Bareli: Rae Bareli CMO Sanjay Sharma wrote a letter complaining to the Director General of Medicine and Health in his division regarding the Collector’s behaviour. In the letter he mentioned, the District collector called him ‘gadha’ (donkey) and used the phrase  ‘khal khich lunga’ (peel off the skin).

Rae Bareli Health Department is in headlines for a long time for its ongoing corruption.District Collector Vaibhav Srivastava within a few days of commencing the office, conducted meetings with officers of various departments and warned them for their ignorant behaviour towards COVID-19 management in Rae Bareli. He also slammed CMO for carelessness in dealing with COVID centers. He warned everyone if the work is not done, everyone will be punished.

The letter went viral creating sparks in political and bureaucracy circles. However the PMS has sided with the District collector as using those words is not abuse but phrases used to get work done. The issue was resolved. Meanwhile, the layers of corruption prevailing in the division have been undoubtedly opened to the general public.

District Magistrate Vaibhav Srivastava has just lately taken over as District Officer of Rae Bareli. Prior to this, he was positioned as District Collector in Pilibhit and lately he has been honoured for the groundwater operations by the Central Government.
