Union Minister Ramdas Athawale tests positive for Covid-19

Mumbai: Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister and President of Republican Party of India-A (RPI) in Maharashtra, has been tested positive for Covid-19. Ramdas Athawale with his wife is admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Ramdas Athawale coined the slogan ‘Go Corona Go’ during the lockdown.

माझी कोरोनाची चाचणी पॉझिटिव्ह आली आहे. खबरदारी चा उपाय म्हणून रुग्णालयात दाखल होण्याचा वैद्यकीय सल्ला पाळणार आहे. या दरम्यान माझ्या संपर्कात आलेल्यांनी खबरदारी म्हणून आपली कोरोना चाचणी करून घ्यावी. प्रकृती चांगली आहे. काळजी नसावी. सध्याचे नोयोजित कार्यक्रम रद्द केले आहेत.

Ramdas Athawale has given information about him becoming corona positive by tweeting in Marathi. Athawale said, “My corona test has come positive. As a precaution, I will follow the advice of doctors after being admitted to the hospital. Whoever has come in contact with me, get their corona test done. Right now all the programs have been canceled.”

A video of Athawale went viral during the lockdown, in which he was seen shouting slogans of ‘Go Corona Go’ with some people.There was a different reaction on social media after this video went viral. However, now Ramdas Athawale had said that his slogan is being used by people all over the world today. Ramdas Athawale is 60 years old. He is a Rajya Sabha MP and became a Union Minister in both the tenures of the Modi government.
