Twitter Bans Account of Donald Trump Jr., Had Shared Non-Certified Video Related to Coronavirus

Chicago : Twitter has temporarily banned the tweeting of US President Donald Trump’s son after he shared a non-certified video related to the coronavirus on Monday. Millions of people had already watched it before the videos shared by Trump’s son were removed from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. At the same time, this move of Twitter has been criticized by many members of the Republican Party and has called it censorship on social media.

It may be noted that in this video, Trump supporter doctors can be heard saying that there is no need for a mask to avoid the coronavirus and he is still seen supporting the hydrochloroquine drug. Although Trump Jr.’s profile is still visible, he himself cannot tweet, retweet or like other posts. The President meanwhile had retweeted Trump Jr.’s video post, which has been removed.
