Turf War Erupts Between Hizbul Mujahideen & Lashkar TRF Over Kashmir

Srinagar : A new war has erupted between Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organizations in Kashmir. This includes the new organization ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), called the Lashkar-e-Taiba front, and the Hizbul Mujahideen. Official sources said that Hizbul Mujahideen top commander Abbas Shaikh left the organization and joined the TRF. After this, there is a confrontation between the two organizations.

The ‘Tehreek-e-People’s Party’ on Friday released a hand-written poster claiming that its operational commander Abbas had left the Hizbul Mujahideen because he disagreed with Hizbul’s policy to kill Kashmiri policemen and civilians. According to intelligence sources, Abbas Sheikh has gone completely underground after leaving the Hizbul Mujahideen. After joining TRF, he has been hiding from Hizbul and security forces. According to sources, Abbas claims that he has 12 active members and many ground workers as well.

TRF has also issued a statement regarding Abbas Sheikh. On a letter head with the Islamic jihadist logo and the punchline bearing ‘Resistant Till Victory’, the TRF said, “A few days ago, we warned the Hizbul Mujahideen to stop killing Kashmir policemen and civilians, but still they kidnapped a policeman from Shopian in Jammu and Kashmir.”

The TRF further wrote,”Hizbul Mujahideen must understand that our fight is against Indian security forces and their  occupation, not the Kashmiri people. Kashmiris are our own and we cannot fight against the security forces without their support. We thought we would fight together but it was our biggest mistake.”

In the statement, the TRF further said, “Commander Abbas Sheikh Bhai left Hizbul because he did not agree to kill the Kashmiris. Now he is with us and we will fight against every person who will harm any Kashmiris. This is the final warning to Hizbul. Do not force us to take strict action. After this there will be no warning, only action.”

Indian investigative agencies here traced the existence of the TRF in Kashmir last month, when security forces arrested six of its members with huge amounts of weapons and ammunition, busting a key module of their organization. At the same time, four terrorists of TRF were caught during the delivery of illegal consignment of weapons at Sopore District Hospital.

During interrogation, the terrorists revealed that they were working on Telegram under a Pakistan-based man named ‘Andrew Jones’, who had a WhatsApp ID ‘Khan Bilal’. He also revealed that Jones was operating TRF, a newly formed terrorist organization. Investigators have linked TRF to the banned outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, headed by Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.
