He now wants to return to the set of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’.

Ghanshyam Nayak said that all the treatments from chemotherapy to radiation have been completed and he is fine now. He has been away from the show for many weeks due to the operation.

Ghanshyam Nayak, 76, said, “Now I am fully fit. There’s no problem in any part of my body. I’m just waiting for my producer and director to call. I miss the shooting of the show and the team members a lot. The conversation is going on and the team members are also waiting for me. My fans are also waiting for me. I hope that if all goes well, I will start shooting within the next 7-10 days.”

Ghanshyam Nayak further said, ‘The team recently clicked my latest pics and I found them absolutely perfect. However, since Asit Sir is corona positive, he doesn’t talk much with anyone at the moment. I have not spoken to him but a discussion is going on with the director. I keep talking to Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) on the phone. “Gada Electronics is waiting for you,” he had said. The only fear is that my work will be stopped due to the new rules about the work of senior citizens amid corona. However, I am very positive.’

Regarding his treatment, Ghanshyam Nayak said, “I have completed all the treatments for my throat, from chemotherapy to radiation. Now I can speak very clearly. Yes, there are some physiotherapy sessions going on, which makes me very relaxed. Lastly, all the reports I received were negative.”

Ghanshyam Nayak came to Jamnagar on November 20 after 50 years. Here he visited Khodiyar mata temple.
