Thirsty for water! Special namaz offered in Madurai

Npnews24 online, Madurai: As worst water crisis is reeling in the Tamil Nadu, the ruling AIADMK has performed a special yagnas in temple across the state.

Where on the same hand, Special namaz is being offered for rain in Madurai and also some of the devotees are also observing fast.

Tamil Nadu is experiencing or finding an alternative solution to solve the water crisis. Some of the suggestion included to bring water through rail from Jolarpet to Chennai, and to increase water frequency of water tankers to the highly distressed areas.

Also the state government is currently providing 525MLD of water per day and will be bringing 10MLD of water per day through train. At present, the water that is being provided by the state is only half of the city’s requirement.
