The picture of ‘Indian scientist’ will be printed on British pound!

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Bank of England has planned to picture of Indian scientist on new notes to be published in 2020. It is discussing that picture of Indian scientist Jagdish Chandra Bose can be printed on UK’s new 50-pound Currency bill.

Bose is one of the hundreds of scientists who have been nominated for this. Bose was born in India in 1858 during the British rule and did research in plants study. Along with Bose, recently passed, renowned scientist Stefan Hawking is also included in this list of nominees. This list also includes former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

Thatcher was a chemistry scientist before becoming the Prime Minister. The proposal list of the bank includes computer scientist Alan Turing, Eda Lovelace, inventor of the telephone Graham Bell, astronomer Patrick Moore, inventor of penicillin Alexander Fleming are also included in a list.

Who is Jagdish Chandra Bose?

Bose was born in 1858 in Bengal. Bose has made many significant discoveries in botany science. He had proved that there is life in trees and plants too.

Many people don’t know much about the famous scientists of India who had a deep knowledge of physics, biology, botany and archaeology. He was the first scientist who worked on the optics of radio and microwaves.

Apart from this, he is also considered the father of radio science. He was the first Indian scientist to obtain a US patent. He also used to write science fiction and also considered the father of Bengali science fiction.

According to the Bank of England, the last date for submitting the nomination is December 14, after which the final name will be fixed.
