Sushant Singh Rajput case: ED raids director Dinesh Vijan’s home and office

Mumbai: The new development in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case came to light. Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a search operation at the house and office of filmmaker Dinesh Vijan. Actor Sushant had worked with Vijan in the film Rabta.  The payment made for this film is being investigated.

According to sources, Rabta director made payment to Sushant in 2016. The ED had sought documents and other information related to Sushant’s signing amount from Vijan. Recently, the ED questioned Shruti Modi and Uday Singh Gauri over Sushant’s finances. Uday Singh Gauri had spoken to Sushant a day before his death.  On the other hand, the ED in its investigation has not found any suspicious transaction against Rhea and others.

The movie Rabta, a romantic-action movie was released on June 9, 2017.  Dinesh Vijan made his directorial debut with this movie and also co-produced it.  Apart from Sushant and Kriti, Jim Sarabh, Rajkumar Rao and Varun Sharma were also seen in important roles in the film.  The film showed the angle of reincarnation.

Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14 in his flat at Bandra. Thereafter, Rajput’s father filed case against his ex-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty for abetting to suicide. The case is still being investigated by CBI, ED and NCB.  Sushant’s family members said that actor cannot take such a major step like suicide.  Later after investigation by AIIMS doctors, the reports revealed Sushant was not given poison. The AIIMS report refuted Sushant’s murder theory.
