Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI to now investigate case with suicide angle after murder angle

Mumbai: Today is the 13th day of CBI investigation in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The CBI revealed many things in the interrogation associated with the case, including Rhea Chakraborty, the main accused. However, till now the death of actor Sushant Singh has not been solved. According to the report, CBI officials have not found any evidence of Sushant’s murder so far. The investigation is still going on and the CBI is proceeding on the suicide angle itself.

CBI officials investigating the death of Sushant Singh Rajput said, ‘they are now focusing on the suicide angle’. They are also investigating whether there is a case of abetment of suicide in this. So far, the CBI has re-created the crime scene, examined all the evidence gathered by the Mumbai Police and questioned every aspect of the case.

According to a report, a WhatsApp chat between Rhea’s brother Shouvik Chakraborty and a drug supplier reveals that Shouvik had asked for some drugs for his father. Reportedly, the chat reveals that Indrajit was aware of his children’s habits. Even Indrajit himself used to take drugs. The CBI specifically asked Rhe’s father Indrajit Chakraborty about this chat. Imtiaz Khatri used to supply drugs to Sushant-Riya, claims Shruti Modi’s lawyer.

Rhea hesitated on drugs related questions

On Monday, CBI interrogated her brother Shouvik along with Rhea. IPS Nupur Sharma sat face to face with both of them. Apart from these, Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi, cook Neeraj Singh and CA Rajat Mewati were also questioned. According to sources, on Monday, questions were raised about Rhea’s drugs chat and party at home, which she could not answer correctly.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s father K.K. Singh (74) filed a case on July 28 in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty, six other members including his family members for allegedly abetting his son to suicide. Against all these, the police in Patna have filed case under sections 341, 342 (criminal confinement), 380 (burglary in the house where they live), 406 (criminal treachery), 420 (cheating) and 306 (for suicide).
