SURVEY : 72% Indians Believe – Hike in Inflation Under Modi Rule, Difficult to Handle Daily Expenses for 66%

NP NEWS 24 : New Delhi : 72% of Indians believe that inflation has increased during the rule of Narendra Modi and also the problems of the common man. 40% of Indians believe that inflation has had a negative impact on their quality of life.  65.8% say that it is now difficult for them to handle their daily expenses. In 2014, 65.9% people had said the same thing during UPA government, while in 2015 this number was 46.1%.
Prior to the general budget, IANS-C Voter conducted a survey among 4292 people in the third and fourth week of January. Questions were raised about inflation, common man, expenditure.  According to the survey, 48% of Indians believe that the life of the common man has been ruined in the last one year.
What Came Out in the Survey:

Monthly Income: The pre-budget survey revealed that people are getting less than their expectations and such a low income is also enough for them. 51.5% of the people surveyed believe that a monthly income of 20 thousand is also sufficient for them. This was the opinion of 50.2% people in 2019.  In this survey, 23.6% believe that income between 20-30 thousand is necessary for a family of 4 people.
Income Tax: With regard to the budget coming on February 1, people have most expected from income tax exemption. Most believe that up to 4.3 lakh income should be tax free so that they can make a normal life for their family. Currently, an annual income of 2.5 lakh has been kept tax free. For the last 10 years, it has been demanded that the tax exemption should not be less than 4 lakhs / year.
Common Man: 48.4% of the people believe that the quality of life of the common man has been ruined in the last one year. In the same survey conducted in 2015, 24.6% people had the same opinion. In the January 2020 survey, 28.8% people believe that the life of the common man has improved.  In a similar survey conducted in 2015, 39.3% people said that the life of the common man improved. 21.3% felt that there was no change and 1.4% said they did not know or could not say anything.
