‘Special Corona Fees’ Imposed on Alcohol from Today, Liquor will be 70% More Expensive in Delhi

New Delhi : From today, liquor will be 70 percent more expensive in Delhi. In fact, the Delhi government has imposed 70 percent special corona fee on the maximum retail price of liquor. The decision of Delhi Government will be applicable from today (Tuesday) itself. Liquor contracts were opened in the national capital on Monday. Crowds of people gathered outside these shops as soon as liquor contracts opened. Many people neither took care of social distancing nor used masks during this period. According to the Delhi government, the crowded shops and areas will be sealed.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has given some concessions in Delhi, these shops were opened under them. I am sad that some shops got crowded. If two to four people got corona, then many others will get infected from them.”

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed displeasure, “Now if it is found out that there is no social distancing being followed at any place, then the entire area will be sealed. Similarly, the shopkeepers will also have to take responsibility and if any shopkeeper is will not maintain the social distancing outside his shop, then that shop will also be sealed. We all of Delhi together have defeated Dengue, similarly we have to defeat Corona by following the rules.”

Significantly, as soon as liquor contracts opened on Monday, hundreds of people gathered in front of many shops in Delhi to buy liquor. At some places, the police had to laathi charge on an uncontrolled crowd. Seeing the situation uncontrollable, many liquor shops were closed shortly after opening. Liquor shops in Chandni Chowk, Kashmiri Gate Daryaganj etc. were closed all day. ”

The Chief Minister said, “We cannot live with Corona forever, we have to defeat it. He asked Delhiites to wear masks at all times, observe social distancing and regularly wash hands or use sanitizatizer.”
