New Delhi: Sonia Gandhi asks CWC members “to begin deliberations towards the process of transition to relieve her from the duty of party president” says Sources. Congress Party interim president Sonia Gandhi may be resigns from the position Congress Working Committee’s underway virtual meeting on Monday in New Delhi.

The meeting was attended by the core congree working committee’s member including Manmohan Singh, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Capt. Amarinder Singh and among 48 other members.

The party’s internal battle started soon after the 23 senior party leaders wrote to Sonia Gandhi stating that the party needs overhauling from top to bottom and there should be a new leadership who can be seen on the ground. The party is struggling for crisis after the Lok Sabha poll debacle.
