Shocking … minor girl sexually abused in a school bus

In a shocking incident, an eight year old girl was allegedly molested in her school bus by the driver on Thursday afternoon. The girl was returning home from school when the incident took place between Karla Phata and Malvali.

Based on the complaint from the victim’s mother, an FIR has been registered against the accused bus driver with Lonavala rural police station under Pune rural police.

According to the police, the victim girl is studying in a school near Karla Phata. She left school for home on a bus at 2.30 pm on Thursday. The driver allegedly molested and sexually abused her. He threatened to kill her and will not take her to school in the bus, if she told anyone about the incident. However, after coming home, the girl told this to the family.

This led to the prosecution of the bus driver. The case has been registered against him for offences under section 376 (1) (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
