Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde donates Rs 5 lakh for Ram Mandir

Dombivali: Kalyan Shiv Sena MP Dr Shrikant Shinde donated Rs 5 lakh for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Wednesday.

Shinde handed over the check to trustee of Ganesh Mandir in Dombivali Madhukar Chakradev, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activists Suresh Phatak and Pradip Paradkar. “I was fortunate enough to take part in the sacred work of building a Ram temple,” Shinde said.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad has decided to raise Rs 10 billion through crowdfunding for the construction of Ram Mandir.

Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust is conducting a mass contact and contribution campaign for the construction of the grand temple in Ayodhya which began on January 15 and will go on till February 27.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Secretary Champat Rai said that over Rs 1,000 crore has so far been raised for the Ram temple in Ayodhya through the campaign started last month.

The temple will be built by adhering to the country’s ancient and traditional construction techniques. It will also be built in a manner to sustain earthquakes, storms, and other natural calamities.

PM Narendra Modi performed the bhoomi pujan for the construction of Ram Temple on August 5 last year.
