Sharad Pawar’s second grandson may contest Maharashtra Assembly elections

Pune : After Parth Pawar who is contesting Lok Sabha elections, NCP president Sharad Pawar’s second grandson, Rohit Pawar, has now indicated to contest the Vidhan Sabha (Legislative assembly) election. He is going to discuss with the senior leaders of the party and accordingly the constituency will decide. He was speaking at a press conference here.

Rohit Pawar is currently a member of Pune Zilla Parishad. He is said to be willing to contest from Karjat-Jamkhed constituency in Ahmednagar district. Water Resources minister Ram Shinde is presently representing this constituency.

If Rohit decides to contest from there, this fight will be very tough and prestigious. However, at present, his constituency is yet to be decided. After talking with senior party leaders only the constituencies will be decided, Rohit said.

Even though Sharad Pawar has indicated that he will leave politics, his daughter Supriya Sule and nephew Ajit Pawar are active in politics. Ajit Pawar’s son Parth has entered active politics through the parliamentary elections this year. And now Rohit has decided to accept the big responsibility.
