Shadow hangs over Priyanka political future

Npnews24 online : The All India Congress Committee dissolved all district committees of the party in Uttar Pradesh. A two-member committee has been formed to oversee preparations and management for each seat going in for boypoll.

This development comes after congress general secretaries in Uttar Pradesh East and West Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Jyotiraditya Scindia met the party’s state leaders to discuss the issue of what went wrong in the elections.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, was given the responsibility of 38 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, failed to win a single seat for the party. Priyanka Gandhi was entrusted with the task of managing polls in the remaining 42 seats in the eastern UP. Raebareli in UP East was the only seat that Congress managed to win from Uttar Pradesh in 2019.

Earlier, Congress also dissolved the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). However, Congress said party’s state unit president Dinesh Gundu Rao and working President Easwar B Khandre will remain unchanged.
