Senior citizen killed in Pisoli, Kondhwa police arrest accused in one hour

PUNE :  NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | The Kondhwa police have arrested a man for killing a senior citizen by smashing his head with a tile in Pisoli, within one hour. A shocking fact has come to light that the senior citizen’s friend killed him because he was angry over being abused. (Pune Crime News)

The deceased has been identified as Hakimuddin Tayarbhai Barot (66), a resident of Pisoli. The deceased’s wife, Mariyam Hakimuddin Barot, has lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. The Kondhwa police have arrested Mahesh Mahadev Ovhal (32), a resident of Pisoli. A call had come at Kondhwa police station that a man was lying in a pool of blood in an empty space and blood was oozing out of his head and right eye. Sr PI Santosh Sonvane, PI (crime) Sanjay Mogle, PI (crime) Sandip Bhosale and other officials visited the spot.

The police started a probe after the identity of the deceased became known. PSI Swapnil Patil, constable Satish Chavan, Nilesh Desai, police naik, Gorakhnath Chinke, Jotiba Pawar, policemen Sujit Madan, Santosh Bansude, Laxman Holkar, Sagar Bhosale and Suraj Shukla started searching for the accused.

Policemen Santosh Bansude, Anil Bankar and Suraj Shukla got the information that Barot had been killed by his friend Mahesh Ovhal. The police apprehended him from Siddharth Nagar. When he was grilled, he said he was drinking alcohol with Barot who abused him. Since he was angry, he smashed Barot’s head with a tile and killed him. The police have arrested the accused.
