RMD Foundation’s Vice-President distributes uniforms to 650 students

PALGHAR: RMD Foundation | RMD Foundation Vice-President Shobha R Dhariwal said that nursery students have to wear the uniform while going to school. However in remote areas, Adivasi children studying in anganwadis don’t know the concept of uniform. Children should wear a similar uniform while going to anganwadi, She was during the Guru Pournima programme held at Tirthdham Jinsharan at Uplat in Talasari taluka in Palghar district. On behalf of RMD Foundation, uniforms, slates and pencils were distributed to more than 650 children in the Adivasi anganwadi.

“The children are happy after receiving uniforms and this is a big gift for me on Guru Pournima. Today, for the first time, so many children have been brought on the platform and this has made my platform more beautiful and bigger,” said Jain Munishree Acharya Pulakasagar Maharaj.

 

Child Development Officer Ganesh Mante said that he was happy to see that the children were wearing uniforms. PI Vijay Mutdak of Talasari Police Station said that wearing uniform inculcates discipline in children. Anganwadi worker Geeta Janadabke said that the children are happy and curious after wearing the uniform.

 

During the programme organised by RMD Foundation, all anganwadi workers were given plumeria saplings. A Goutami Prasad programme was organised for all children, their parents and anganwadi workers. Government officers, police officers, anganwadi workers, supervisors, important members of the Jain community and many women from Uplat village were present at the Guru Pournima programme.
