Pune : NCP MLA Sunil Shelke | Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has held discussions with us, urging us to join the government and gain political power. This message was conveyed during a meeting at Ajit Pawar’s residence, Devagiri bungalow, as stated by NCP MLA Sunil Shelke. According to Shelke, they even had a written agreement on a stamp paper. He shared these details with the media in Talegaon.

Shelke explained, “We received a message from Ajit Pawar’s office requesting a meeting of all MLAs in Mumbai. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss various matters and concerns related to our constituencies. We gathered at ten in the morning and had a conversation with Ajit Pawar, our colleague in the legislature. Each of us expressed the issues faced in our respective areas. Some mentioned non-functional projects, while others highlighted problems. During this time, we were also asked to sign on the stamp paper at Ajit Pawar’s residence.”

He continued, “Ajit Pawar assured us that joining the government is necessary to achieve political power and effectively address the issues in our constituencies. We all agreed to this proposition and signed the stamp paper. He emphasized that NCP will continue to remain in power under the leadership of Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar. Shelke also clarified that there are no internal factions within the NCP, emphasizing that Sharad Pawar is the revered leader for all of them. As MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislature, we work under his guidance.”

Shelke further expressed their aspiration, stating, “We simply want to highlight that in Nagaland, when a group of six or seven NCP MLAs formed a government with the BJP, we expect a similar opportunity for NCP MLAs in Maharashtra.”
