Rising Cases of Molestation Raise Questions on Women’s Safety in Pune City; Two Cases of POCSO and Molestation Registered in Pune City

Pune: A young man from Dhanori infiltrated into the house of a minor girl, taking advantage of her loneliness in the house, and raped her brutally. The incident came to light after the victim became pregnant. In this regard, Vishrantwadi police have immediately arrested the accused individual and put him in jail.

In this regard, the mother of the 17-year-old girl lodged a complaint at Vishrantwadi police station on Wednesday, March 20. Based on this, Aniket Balaji Kamble, 23, a resident of Parandenagar, Dhanori, has been booked and arrested by police under IPC 376, 376/2/N, and the POCSO Act.

According to the police, the victim girl and the accused live in the same locality. A few days ago, the accused illegally intruded into the girl’s house when she was alone in the house. He lured the minor girl with fake marriage promises and sexually assaulted her. This incident was revealed after a minor girl was found pregnant.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim girl, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. Vishrantwadi Police are conducting further investigations.

In another shocking incident in the Pashan area of Pune, a young woman was brazenly molested by the accused upon entering her house. This incident took place in the victim girl’s house in the Sutarwadi area of Pashan.

In this regard, a 19-year-old girl has filed a complaint at Chaturshringi police station. Accordingly, a case of molestation has been filed against Hrithik Artu Kale, a resident of Vitthalnagar, Pashan.

The detailed information about it is that the victim girl was sleeping in her house on March 17 at around 2 p.m. At that time, a neighbouring resident entered her house and behaved indecently with the young woman. The plaintiff accused Kale of attempting to outrage her modesty and acting in a way that caused embarrassment to her.

Chaturshringi Police are investigating further into the case.
