Rhea Bought 2 Properties in Mumbai Despite a Meagre Net Worth, Income Rose From Rs 10 Lakh to Rs 14 Lakh

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is tightening its grip on Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh death case. The ED is investigating the ‘money trail’ (money expenditure) in this case. ED sources have revealed that in the last few years, Rhea’s net earnings rose from 10 lakh to 12 lakh and then to 14 lakh. ED sources have given information about this by quoting Income Tax Return (ITR).

The ED has come to know that Rhea Chakraborty bought two properties in Mumbai despite earning very little. In this, one is in the name of Rhea while the other property is registered in the name of Rhea’s family members. Till now, it is not known who paid the money for both these properties of Rhea. On finding something wrong, the ED has asked for documents of both these properties. It is possible that the ED can get these papers on Thursday itself.

In this case, two companies of Sushant Singh Rajput have been investigated. Another company which is in Delhi, is yet to be investigated. A few days ago the ED questioned Sushant Singh’s CA about this, but the ED is not satisfied with the CA’s reply. For further inquiries related to the property, the ED has sent an email to Rhea Chakraborty. However, no answer has been received yet on this.

Rhea Chakraborty has been called for questioning on August 7, in which her statement will be recorded. Rhea’s brother Shovik is also set to be called as he was a director in two companies along with Sushant. Shovik’s statements can also be recorded next week. Rhea’s chartered accountant Ritesh Shah has been called for his statement. Earlier, ED had called Sushant’s CA and questioned him for 11 hours.
