Reaction over #PulwamaTerrorAttack killing 44 jawans
NP NEWS 24 ONLINE: A heart-wrenching news came in light in 14th February, after nearly 46 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and many others injured when terrorists targeted a convoy with a car bomb at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district which is known to be the worst attack ever on security personnel in the state.
Today morning, Finance minister Arun Jaitley, home minister Rajnath Singh, PM Narendra Modi, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and defense minister Nirmala Sitharaman had a meeting a regarding the security.
After the meeting, Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley stated that “The tag of “Most favored nation” given to Pakistan will be taken off. On the political and international ground, Pakistan will be boycotted. Pakistan will get a strong response of this attack.”
According to the report, the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kg of explosives. The injured have been moved to the army base hospital in Srinagar, 20 km from the attack site. Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The terrorists triggered the car bomb while 78 vehicles with over 2,500 CRPF men were on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The stretch on which the incident occurred had been sanitized earlier in the morning, and authorities have termed it as a “serious breach” of security.
The government demanded that “Pakistan stopped supporting terrorists and terror groups operating from their territory” and has appealed to the international community to support the proposal to list terrorists, including Jaish-e-Mohammed Chief, Masood Azhar, as a designated terrorist under the 1267 Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council.
Every since then social media has lit up with various reactions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that the sacrifices will not go in vain. “The attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly.”
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, visited Srinagar to review the situation, has assured that a strong response will be given to the terror attack.
The scale of this terror strike has exceeded even that of the Uri attack on September 2016, when four heavily armed terrorists targeted an army brigade headquarters causing 19 deaths. The Indian army had responded with a cross-border surgical strike in which several terror launch pads were destroyed.
While many celebrities like Farhan Akthar, Arjun Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Ajay Devgan,Dina Penty, Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra and many more reacted strongly over the tragedy.
I have a special relation with CRPF. I have written Their anthem Before putting the pen to paper I met a number of CRPF officers n what ever I learned my respect admiration and love for these braves increased by many a fold Today I share the grief of the dear ones of the martyrs

Remember when Cong was in power, and how we questioned them every time a terror attack happened?
Clearly, either the rules have changed since then, or we have changed as a people.
The only thing that is the same is that our soldiers still die for nothing. :(#Pulwama

Interestingly, Smita Prakash, Editor at AIN tweeted
Retired Pakistani General (ISI) a few months ago on TV clearly saying that suicide bombing will take place in Jammu & Kashmir soon. He says it is only then that the world will become ‘aware’ of the issue. HOW did he know huh? Is he part of the plot? #PulawamaTerrorAttack pic.twitter.com/jCsUEym8a7
