Rakul Preet Singh Knocks Delhi High Court Door After Her Name Involved In Drug Case, Hearing On The Petition Today

Mumbai : Rhea Chakraborty has taken the name of actress Rakul Preet Singh during the investigation of drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. Rakul Preet Singh has approached the Delhi High Court after her name surfaced in the media in the drugs case. Rakul Preet Singh has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court, asking that a directive be issued to the Ministry of Information Broadcasting, in which the media should be prevented from taking her name. Today her petition will be heard.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had earlier said that Rhea Chakraborty has named Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan and designer Simone Khambata in the drugs case. NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra had told that the investigating agency has not yet sent summons to all these people. On Saturday, the agency raided several places in Mumbai and Goa and arrested six people. Karmjit Singh Anand alias KJ, resident of Bandra, he was brought to South Mumbai’s NCB office for questioning and later arrested by the agency.

In the drugs case related to Sushant, NCB has so far arrested 17 people including Rhea. Apart from Rhea, other arrested accused are Sushant Singh Rajput’s house staff Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant. Apart from this, Rhea’s brother Shouvik and six alleged drug peddlers have also been arrested.

Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shouvik were sent to judicial custody till 22 September on Friday. Miranda, Sawant, Zaid Vilatra and Abdul Basir Parihar are also currently in judicial custody. On 14 June Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra flat.
